Exquisite Yakitori and Heartwarming Hospitality

Kushi Emmon is a renowned restaurant that elevates familiar yakitori to perfection with unique techniques. The masterful skewered dishes captivate all who visit. In particular, the tender liver with no off-flavors and the memorable kombu-marinated chicken sashimi are must-tries. This is a place where you can experience a blissful taste that transcends the concept of yakitori.

Kushiemon was recommended to us by a celebrity and gourmet in Azabu Juban, which is becoming a fierce battleground for yakitori. The ingredients and the grill quality are excellent. The hatsu, liver, and cartilage are among the three best yakitori I have ever had. And the 10 pieces of yakitori on the house are a bargain at 3,400 yen. I was impressed by the cooked egg in the oyako-don (parent and child rice bowl) and the thick broth. The taste leaves a delicious aftertaste. I asked the strong-looking owner if I could take a picture, but he said yes. The picture is of the first dish, a deeply flavored sashimi kombu zushi-meshi. It was indeed delicious, but we drank three glasses each and the bill was ￥19500, which included service charge, although there was no service that could be called service. The wine list is reasonably priced with good brands, and the restaurant is stylish with only a high counter where jazz music plays. If it were not for the service charge, this would be an excellent restaurant, suitable for light entertainment.

Interns' party, it happened to be in the same building as Bari Hakata, so we inevitably went to Bari Hakata after this.
