A renowned restaurant for Shinshu soba in a homely atmosphere

Yamaboushi is a famous establishment located in the Karasawa Soba Village of Yamagata Village, known for its inviting, homey atmosphere. The interior, which utilizes a traditional house, offers a sense of calm and warmth, reminiscent of visiting a grandmother's home. Of course, the traditional hand-made Shinshu soba is a highlight, and the combination with the crunchy long yam, a specialty of Yamagata Village, is exquisite, providing a delightful new texture. This soba, loved by all who visit, is definitely worth trying.

In a calming space reminiscent of an old folk house, you can spend your time leisurely. The warm atmosphere is comforting. The hand-made soba has a pleasant aroma with black grains visible, and the natural variations in thickness make each bite enjoyable. Yamacchi soba combines long, thin strips of yam with the soba, allowing you to experience a crisp and smooth texture all at once. The tempura is homey and fluffy, enhancing the deliciousness of the soba. Each dish is simple and highlights the natural ingredients, making you want to recommend it to friends.
