Each piece is carefully made from scratch and grilled to create authentic chijimi. Fun fact about chijimi: In Korea, there is a custom of eating chijimi on rainy days. This is said to be because the sound of heavy rain resembles the sound of chijimi being cooked. It is also a remnant of the days when people would make chijimi and eat it with makgeolli on days when farming was not possible due to rain. Additionally, it is easy to make at home with ingredients available, without going out to shop on rainy days. For these reasons, chijimi is still considered a dish to enjoy on rainy days.
