In Hokkaido, lamb meat that had been eaten since the Taisho era was tough and had a peculiar smell that did not suit people's tastes, so it did not become established. In the Showa era, the promotion of lamb meat became active, and restaurants serving Genghis Khan began to appear, spreading throughout the region as a soul food for the locals. One serving costs 1,419 yen.
Deer meat has less fat compared to other meats, making it a healthy ingredient that is gaining attention. It is low in calories but high in protein and rich in iron.
