The signature dan dan noodles have a rich sesame flavor that clings well to the thin noodles, making them delicious enough to want to savor the soup until the last drop. The homemade shrimp shumai features a delightful texture of plump shrimp and hand-cut meat, and is flavorful enough to enjoy on its own. The mapo tofu combines the deep richness of fermented black beans with a pleasant kick from Sichuan pepper, making it impossible to stop eating rice. The cheerful shouts from the staff in the kitchen and their attentive service create a pleasant experience, enhancing the dishes even further. Both the noodles and dim sum are of high quality, making this an attractive restaurant that sparks interest in thick noodles and other menu items.

I found this place while wandering around Shimokitazawa, and I was captivated by the sesame-rich tantanmen. The light, thin noodles held the creamy soup perfectly, and before I knew it, my bowl was empty. The shrimp shumai and daily side dishes that came as a set were also carefully prepared, making it hard to stop eating the rice. On another day, I enjoyed the saucy yakisoba, which was piled high with seafood and vegetables, and adding a drop of vinegar made the flavor change delightful. The takeout shelf in front of the shop is lined with xiaolongbao and unique gyoza, making the selection process exciting. Thanks to the thoughtful attention to detail and the variety of dishes, my anticipation for the next visit to this restaurant keeps growing.
