The 'Imo Shochu Katoroku' is characterized by its sweet and fragrant aroma and taste, made using black koji brewing sake.
Finished with water from the Shirakawa water source in Minami Aso, selected as one of the 100 best waters in Japan. This is a genuine rice shochu with a gentle ginjo aroma and a soft, mellow flavor.
In Japan, it is important to clearly distinguish that this is not just a shochu with sesame flavor, but a 'sesame shochu' made using black sesame as the main ingredient for the first time. After tackling such a challenging theme, the taste and aroma of this shochu have finally been perfected. The phrase from the culinary world, 'bringing out the full potential of the ingredients,' seems to apply directly to this shochu as well.
The characteristic of Kaijin no Kaze is the full-bodied aroma of Ryukyu Awamori and a mild, refreshing taste like the wind of Okinawa. It can be enjoyed on the rocks, with water, or with soda, but the mild and refreshing taste is particularly recommended on the rocks. Please enjoy it slowly with Okinawan cuisine.
