After walking a little from the station, I arrived at a shop quietly standing in a residential area, and my expectations rose from its exterior. The interior is compact, centered around two-person tables, but it is cozy and quickly fills up with customers. The thick domestic eel, steamed and then grilled, was fluffy, and the texture was excellent as it fell apart when I inserted my chopsticks. The mildly sweet sauce enhanced the flavor of the eel, perfectly matching the rice's cooking level and temperature. Sprinkling the pepper from a wooden box according to my preference released its aroma, and I enjoyed it without getting bored until the end, paired with the liver soup and a refreshing salad. With the careful work typical of a long-established shop and generous portions filled with great service, I couldn't help but feel happy after the meal.
