Soba noodles and tasty snacks made by a young owner from Aga-machi, Higashikanbara-gun. The restaurant is not cheaply priced and the clientele is reasonable, so you can enjoy your meal in peace and quiet. On this day, duck and crab were the theme of the dinner party. A wild duck hot pot from Nishikaga-ku and snow crab from Sado Island. It must be delicious. The handmade Jyuwari Soba noodles were produced in Yamato, Fukushima Prefecture. It was perfect.

Soba Kaban Gosho. I would like to know the meaning of the restaurant's name, Gojyo. The dishes we ordered, in the order shown in the photo, were pressed sushi with conger eel, Sado oysters, sashimi of sea bream, steamed clams, live botan shrimp, kingfish with liver, shako, roasted Sado beef, and soba noodles. The food was delicious from the word go. The live peony prawns were peeled right in front of our eyes and put in our mouths while they were still fresh. Thank you to the young owner for showing us how grateful he is for life.

This is a soba noodle restaurant that was built near my apartment during my stay in Niigata. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, so I went there for the first time! Since it was my first visit to this restaurant, I ordered the seafood kakiage soba (buckwheat noodle) which was recommended. I thought I might not be so good at it since it was labeled as "juwari" buckwheat noodle, but this juwari buckwheat noodle was very tasty and completely different from other juwari buckwheat noodles I had had before! I thought I would go there since it is in my neighborhood!
