Yoji Tokuyoshi, owner of a one-star restaurant in Italy, opened his alter ego, Alter Ego, in Jimbocho in February 2019. He and his right-hand man, Hidehito Hirayama, work together to serve kappo-style cuisine, which is rare for an Italian restaurant, with an emphasis on Japanese ingredients. One of the restaurant's attractions is the wine and soup pairings that can be enjoyed along with the courses.

The lobster pasta was especially good. Some of the soup pairings were tasty, but I didn't really understand some of them. More importantly, I forgot to drink the soup. The wine pairing was small, but overall it was to my liking and I personally appreciated it!

It was an amazing composition from start to finish. In addition to that, the food is really good. The soup pairing, an ingenious idea in line with Japanese food culture, was also great. In addition to the food, the atmosphere, the staff, and the composition of the restaurant were all great. I would like to go back.

One star in the Michelin Guide in 2022. The restaurant does not currently offer courses, but offers an a la carte menu with a choice of about five dishes and desserts to go along with the wine, so it is like a course.

Appetizers are mini-sized PIZZA🍕. When you open it, you'll see the deliciousness from the edible 💐! I was surprised. I'm surprised. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not, but it's a good idea.
