The interior of the shop, with its old wooden counter, retains the atmosphere of the Showa era, which is exciting. When I sat down at the L-shaped counter that extends to the back, the master casually struck up a conversation, and we quickly became friendly. The first dish I ordered, bonito sashimi, had a refreshing and outstandingly fresh flavor, with the scent of the sea spreading with each bite. The simmered bamboo shoots were gently infused with dashi, and their crunchy texture was deliciously addictive. The freshly fried shishamo and thin-skinned gyoza also had a light texture, making it easy to enjoy more drinks. Thanks to the lively atmosphere where conversation and food blended together, I had such a fun time that I completely lost track of time.
