I made a reservation at this restaurant because I wanted to enjoy oysters in various ways. As expected, there were many options on the menu, and it seemed good for both people like us who want to enjoy different kinds of oysters and those who want to have a full meal. The oysters were really delicious, and I was very satisfied. If I had to say something, it was that the view along the coast was nice, but the roofs of the buildings in between were a bit disappointing. It might have been because it was a bad weather day. I will visit again when I come to Matsushima.

I visited in the evening. Since it was still early, I was able to sit down comfortably. The menu is rich with a variety of seafood, including classic set meals and individual dishes, and there are also local sake and craft beers, making it hard to decide what to choose. I had the anago don (conger eel rice bowl) along with steamed oysters and raw oysters. The anago was fluffy, and between the rice and the eel, the shredded egg and cucumber soaked up the sweet sauce and the rich flavor of the eel, making it impossible to stop eating. The oysters were both full of flavor, and I enjoyed them simply with salt, without any additional condiments. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again if I have the chance.

L'atmosfera era accogliente grazie al cordiale proprietario e alla gentile padrona di casa. I piatti includevano frittura di Mejikari e anguille di Matsushima, oltre alla possibilità di gustare il manzo di lingua. C'era una varietà di vini locali e anche gli altri clienti che si trovavano lì per caso stavano bevendo lo stesso sake caldo, il che ha facilitato le conversazioni. Una giovane coppia americana accanto a noi non aveva contante, e il personale è stato così gentile da offrirsi di portarli fino al negozio di alimentari. La premura del personale è stata eccezionale.

The staff were kind and the best. The raw oysters and oyster tempura were the best. I have eaten oysters from various places, but the oysters from Matsushima are the best in Japan. Among them, San Tori Chaya was the best.

I had an anago don and a beef tongue set meal. Being from Niigata, I usually eat delicious rice, fish, and meat, but it was really tasty. The summer limited dish recommended by the owner was also delicious. The interior is a bit cramped on both the first and second floors. The female staff member on the second floor was very kind and attentive!

I was a little late arriving due to the train schedule, but they kindly accommodated me. The anago donburi was large and fluffy, and the mekabu donburi was luxurious with sea urchin, salmon roe, and scallops. The steamed oysters were also big and delicious! Thank you for the meal.

The first floor seems to be for regular customers (counter) and the second floor for tourists, which made it comfortable. Despite that, I was able to enjoy local flavors, and all the dishes were delicious. The prices were a bit on the higher side, but the taste and portion sizes were satisfactory. I would like to go again.

The eel in the eel rice bowl was very fluffy and delicious. I also ordered fried oysters, but it was the first time I had such plump and well-filled oysters. They were very delicious.
