Kogyo Sugi" is a Michelin-starred Japanese kappo restaurant located in Omote-cho, Kita-ku, Okayama. You can enjoy carefully prepared Japanese cuisine mainly in courses. Since the menu is decided according to the ingredients and cooking methods used at the time, there is no basic menu list, and counter seating is popular to enjoy conversation while waiting for the chef and his/her cooking.

The dishes are prepared using seasonal local ingredients and other carefully selected ingredients, and are served as a course, but the restaurant is also flexible enough to accept a la carte orders upon consultation. This time I visited in autumn, so the dishes were beautifully decorated with autumn leaves. The suppon no shinjo has an elegant flavor with a hint of yuzu (Japanese citron). Sashimi such as bonito is also excellent. The seiko crab was excellent with a rich flavor. Every dish was a course of high-level contents. I want to visit again in a different season.
