In a house surrounded by the forest, you can relax and feel the warmth of the irori (traditional Japanese hearth). The omakase (chef's choice) using local fish and vegetables was exciting from start to finish. The tofu topped with karasumi (dried mullet roe) and the pleasantly crunchy spinach were impressive from the very first dish. The sashimi of yellowfin tuna, sea bream, horse mackerel, and squid stood out for its freshness and conveyed a rich umami flavor. The tempura, featuring plump and elastic oysters and thick shiitake mushrooms, enjoyed with a broth fragrant with agodashi (flying fish stock), was also wonderful. The final dishes of chili sauce udon, chicken rice, and clear soup were well-balanced, showcasing the careful craftsmanship.
