With this desire, 'Yakitori House Sumire' was born in 2009. Since then, I have dreamed of making yakitori a part of everyday meals. Instead of a smoky yakitori shop with red lanterns, I wanted to create a yakitori restaurant that can be enjoyed by a wide range of customers, including women and families. I want to hear the words, 'The yakitori was delicious.' Today, I carefully grill each skewer one by one.

Sumire's 'Signature Yakitori' is a part also known as 'Furisode', located between the chicken wing and breast. The skin side is carefully grilled to a golden crisp, while the meat is cooked to be juicy.

Tsurumi, a famous sake from Oishi Sake Brewery, has been around since its founding in 1899 in Akune City. The sweet potato used is 'Shiroyutaka' grown locally, and the water is sourced from local well water. The fifth generation, a former engineer, is dedicated to this craft, and the flavor is a product of 100 years of tradition. You can feel the strength of the sweet potato shochu.
Shiraishi Sake Brewery / Founded in 1894 in Minato Town, Ichiki-Kushikino City. Among the many shochu distilleries in Kagoshima, it is rare to use traditional three-stone jars for both primary and secondary fermentation, and to distill slowly with a small distillation apparatus. The koji rice is primarily sourced from local contract-grown sweet potatoes from Ichiki Town. The production volume is very low, making it a hidden gem loved by the locals. 'Tengu Sakura' is the flagship brand of Shiraishi Sake Brewery.
Nishi Shuzo / Hikari City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The name comes from 'Hozan Kenkyo,' a biwa priest from the Kamakura period who engaged in various activities for the happiness of the people. This sake brewery is committed to using sweet potatoes and rice, to the extent that making shochu is considered agriculture. 'Tomino Hozan' is made with yellow koji. It has a refreshing citrus aroma, is easy to drink, and has a deep umami flavor.
