Valentine's Day from my mother!
I received chocolate from my mother!
Look at this! This cute pink jar!
This is the kind of thing that women love!
This jar is ceramic and authentic!
The chocolate inside is made from okara (bean curd).
There are two kinds of chocolates in the jar: plain and green tea.
You eat it with a special toothpick, but it doesn't stick because it's made of okara!
You have to gently and slowly to make it stick, as shown in the picture.
The taste is a little less than usual because of the bean curd, but it's OK because it's healthy.
My mother seemed to like it very much.
She also bought black bean amand chocolat and green tea financier during the event!
The matcha financier was delicious and light!
I know my mother gave it to me, but I bought it because I wanted this jar.
These healthy chocolates are also very good.
I went to Isetan to buy an ekiben at Kyoto Station. There were many bento boxes from various famous and long-established stores, and I always get lost. However, I decided to go with Hatsuda's wagyu beef bento! I can't stop eating it. The meat, sauce, cabbage and rice are a perfect match! Who would have thought it? I usually get this bento, but it tastes even better when you buy it yourself! When I went to the sales floor, there were only five left, but I managed to snag one. I always come home with a set of the wagyu beef bento and Fukujuen's special tea.
The store is located in a residential area.
Open only on weekends and sells out fast.
Heard a rumor that they sell out by early afternoon.
We visited before it opened at 11:30.
When I arrived a little before the store opened,
There was already a long line.
After standing in line for about an hour, I was finally able to buy one.
The prices were mainly in the 600 or 700 yen per piece range,
They are relatively expensive compared to ordinary cakes.
But it was worth the wait,
The cakes were gorgeous and rich in flavor.
The best part is that you can enjoy your meal while listening to the owner's pleasant conversation. We recommend the grilled skewers of top Mino (mino), which has an addictive, firm texture. The chijimi is filled with milt and has a nice fluffy texture, and the moment you take a bite, you can feel it sizzling. Rice dishes are also recommended, especially mentaiko rice and cold noodles.
