Eating Akafuku in the morning
My partner wanted to go to Ise Jingu Shrine for a long time.
We didn't have much time to go, but we decided to make a quick trip to Ise! And suddenly we decided to go to Ise!
We left Osaka in the middle of the night and arrived at Ise at 3:00am ・・・・
I took a nap for 2 hours and visited the outer and inner shrines at 5 o'clock when the gates opened!
I have not been to Ise since my school excursion, and it makes me feel so pure.
It is really a power spot, full of greenery and clean air!
It was past 8 o'clock when I finished visiting the shrine.
There were no stores open on Okage Yokocho, and swallows were flying around.
The only shop that was open was Akafuku Honten.
Standing in front of the store, you can feel the history and dignity of the store.
Inside the store is a tatami room.
First, order at the cash register, then have your order brought to you while you are sitting in the tatami room.
Since there is no one around, you can sit on the tatami room overlooking the Isuzu River.
Akafuku mochi tray (3 pieces) 290 yen!
Freshly made Akafuku rice cakes with a very smooth filling!
The mochi seems to be firm.
It is not unusual to buy akafuku mochi in Osaka, but eating it here is something else!
They also bring Ise-cha (green tea) along with the mochi.
It's very hot, but this goes well with the Akafuku mochi!
They make Ise-cha with the hot water from the kamado!
I wonder if the water gets softer when it's boiled in the kamado?
Sipping tea while gazing at the river...
Swallows are flying around the store for their chicks.
It says "Please help us raise our children!
When the chicks grow up again, they will probably come back here to raise them.
I'll be back for more Akafuku ice cream, too, since it was on sale during the suspension... ♪

After visiting Ise Jingu Shrine, there is an Akafuku store on the way to Okage Yokocho from the Inner Shrine. Since we went there in summer, we had Akafuku ice, which is only available in August. I enjoyed a different taste from the usual Akafuku filled with red bean paste.
