From the 'Sapporo Fujino Winery' in Sapporo City, Hokkaido, since spring 2000, we have been experimenting with grape varieties and cultivation methods suitable for the land and climate of Hokkaido. Over approximately 10 years, we have expanded our vineyards and cultivated a variety of grapes. Additionally, the grapes used for our wine are sourced exclusively from carefully nurtured grapes from contracted farmers in Hokkaido. We minimize the use of careful selection of fruit and sulfur dioxide (preservative), and we produce wine that is unfiltered and fermented with natural yeast, creating a wine that is more in harmony with nature.
Using Niagara grapes grown in a contracted farm in Yoichi Town, this wine captures the natural carbon dioxide produced during fermentation with the power of natural yeast. It has a sweet aroma reminiscent of orchid flowers, with a refreshing citrus acidity and a hint of bitterness that spreads with the bubbles, offering a gentle dry mouthfeel.
Koharu 2018 is a dry rosé wine that was slowly fermented using the power of natural yeast from multiple grape varieties harvested from contracted farms in Hokkaido. It has aromas reminiscent of strawberry candy and mint, with fruitiness similar to raspberry, a soft mouthfeel, and charming acidity that provides a pleasant aftertaste.
Nakai Blanc 2017 is made using the Kerner variety carefully cultivated at Nakai Farm in Yoichi Town, after selecting each bunch. It is brewed with the power of natural yeast. This dry white wine has a fruity aroma reminiscent of lime, a soft mouthfeel, fruitiness, and a slight bitterness, with a refreshing acidity typical of northern regions that lingers on the palate.
A red wine blend made from 100% Hokkaido grapes, using the Seibel 13053 variety, Zweigeltrebe variety, Yamabudou variety, Merlot variety, and Pinot Noir variety. It has aromas reminiscent of hazelnuts, violets, damp forests, and shores, with a vegetal freshness. Miki Rouge 2017, carefully cultivated Pinot Noir and Zweigelt grapes in the area of Miki no Hotori in Yoichi Town, Hokkaido, using reduced pesticides. Each bunch is hand-selected and fermented with natural yeast. The aroma evokes a refreshing blend of herbs, damp forest trees, soil, and mushrooms, while the soft mouthfeel and fruitiness reminiscent of raspberries, along with a gentle acidity, provide a pleasant aftertaste.
