We have prepared a menu that fuses the Hyakunin Isshu and food as a hospitality unique to Otsu, the sacred land of karuta. Please enjoy an elegant lunch while experiencing the world of Heian literature.

Since the Edo period, the culture of eating eel has taken root in Otsu City, and the "eating culture of eel in Otsu" was recognized as a "100-year food" by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2023. The "Eel Jyu Gozen" is a lunch-only dish that combines the aroma of eel and the gentle sweetness of dashimaki tamago (rolled egg). Please enjoy this summery dish with seasonal appetizers and liver soup.
