All-you-can-drink option is available only for customers who order the course menu for +1,980 yen!
This is a well-known hot pot that was born in Himeji and has been loved for over thirty years. At first, it's spicy. It might just be spicy... There are indeed people who give up at that point. But instead of panicking, I want you to calm down, think about the toughest day of your life, and savor it slowly. If you're sharp, you will surely notice that amidst the intense spiciness, there is a subtle sweetness from the offal and vegetables! If you leave the broth and later add Chinese noodles or make a rice porridge...
For beginners and those who are somewhat unsure, levels 1-2 are suitable. Levels 3-5 are well-balanced and recommended as standard levels. If you've gone to the trouble of entering the restaurant, isn't it just right to push yourself a little? Levels 6-7 are moderately spicy and stimulating. A gateway for challengers who want to gradually increase their spice tolerance. What? Is that half-hearted? (Additional charge ¥110) Levels 8-10 are at a level where you'll be scolded by the old man of Mito the next morning. But I want you to be someone who can say, 'But that's good!' (Additional charge ¥260) Levels 11-15 are no longer about flavor! While bitterness is important, that's not all there is, right? For stress relief... Also great as a conversation starter! (Additional charge ¥470) Levels 16-20 will make you sweat and, if you strip down, your true self will be revealed. (Additional charge ¥620) Levels 21-30 are food for those contemplating suicide. Eat at your own risk... (Additional charge market price) Level 0 is a non-spicy, delicious miso-flavored hot pot. However, it cannot be called a spicy hot pot. ※※ Individual experiences vary greatly. Depending on your physical condition that day and who you eat with, your taste sensitivity may change slightly. ^^ The above table is for reference only. If reading is a hassle, please consult the staff.
The original Karakara Nabe. If you're trying it for the first time, this is what you should start with. The hormone should not be eaten in a hurry; by simmering it for a long time, the sweetness of the meat spreads throughout, creating a perfect flavor. It's addictive. Enjoy it together with everyone. The year-end party at Karakara-ya is sure to be a hit. ◆ Ingredients: Hormone, meatballs, Chinese cabbage, tofu, seaweed, bean sprouts, fried tofu, onion. *Orders are accepted from two servings.
Recommended when you want a light and refreshing taste. Surprisingly popular among normal people. ◆Ingredients: Chicken, Pork, Chinese Cabbage, Tofu, Seaweed, Bean Sprouts, Fried Tofu, Onion. *Orders are accepted from 2 servings.
The spiciness is prominent, which may not be suitable for those who dislike intense flavors. Not highly recommended. ◆Ingredients: shrimp, squid, scallops, white fish, napa cabbage, seaweed, bean sprouts, fried tofu, onion. *Orders are accepted from two servings.
To be honest, I do not recommend adding extra broth to the hot pot. It can be added for a fee, but I believe the best way to enjoy it is to not dilute it until the end, concentrating the umami, and then drinking it down with rice porridge or noodles. *Please note that there is an additional charge for extra broth depending on the level of spiciness.
If the pot is too spicy and you can't handle it anymore, it's also an option to dip it in the egg and eat it.
While preserving the broth of the pot as much as possible without drinking it, finish off the ingredients. First, add the rice and break it up well. Next, simmer until the diced tomatoes for the rice porridge melt. Then, add cheese and bring it to a boil. Finally, pour in the beaten egg and turn off the heat immediately! The flavors and nourishment of various ingredients, along with bittersweet memories, come together, creating a blissful taste that makes you forget what the karakara pot even was!
This is a delicately crafted barbecue that adjusts the spice levels based on daily temperature, humidity, and weather, more intricate than it appears. It is generally served pre-seasoned, so once it's cooked, feel free to take a bite as is.
A specialty among specialties! If you come to Karakara-ya, you absolutely must try it at least once. Only select parts of domestically sourced chicken (a company secret) are used! Enjoy it with coarsely ground black pepper!
This is the meat from the neck part of the chicken. It has an unexpectedly satisfying texture, and its crunchy feel can be addictive.
The king of the grill that has continued to change the barbecue perspective of people from Banshu and Kobe!? Perfectly seasoned with salt. Enjoy it as is!
Special premium tongue finely chopped with special premium green onions.
Large intestine. Surprisingly light with little fat.
The fourth stomach. The more you chew, the richer the umami...
The first stomach. A rare cut that further selects the upper part.
Not as red as the name suggests. Chicken skin with double the spiciness?
It has a sharp texture but is moderately fatty and juicy.
Spices and cheese melted between pork belly. Very popular among children and the elderly.
Dynamically grilled with thick cuts of meat, scored on both sides, then cut into pieces with scissors! A popular menu item that sells out quickly! Once you try it, you'll understand the tenderness and juiciness!?
The original concept comes from the 'skewers covered in spices' that the owner of Karakara-ya Sohonten saw while wandering around the border between China, Mongolia, and Russia. After forcefully staying at the best local shop for several days to train, and adding a unique Karakara twist, this new specialty was completed. When you devour it wildly, sprinkled with an original blend of red spice MIX, the complex aromas and the deliciousness of the meat juices may sometimes bring you wonderful inspiration, with flavors that are spicy, sweet, and numbing all at once.
Uses the highest quality hormone in the country. Many repeat customers. A perfectly plump and exquisite sweetness.
Grill it on the edge of the grill while barbecuing, and when it gets a little charred, eat it with honey... It's crispy and chewy, so nostalgic! That warmth you almost forgot is here!? Just a palate cleanser. Please don't fill your stomach with this.
A signature salad featuring a spicy homemade dressing that enhances the sweetness of the Chinese cabbage, inspired by the miso from the kara-kara pot. The crunchy texture and cold sensation of the abundant Chinese cabbage pairs perfectly with our rich dishes, often ordered as one plate per table, or even one plate per person in some restaurants, making it a favorite that keeps the kitchen busy.
At first glance, it's just a regular tomato slice. In reality, it is just a tomato slice, but the slightly sweet dressing mix and the cool texture make it an essential palate cleanser for spicy hot pot dishes... (Large) ¥660 (Medium) ¥540 (Small) ¥360
A salad that utilizes the crispy texture and savory flavor of the famous chicken skin, along with the umami of salted kelp.
Half of the tomato salad is made with white asparagus.
A subtly profound secret ingredient that perfectly complements the dry flavor.
Shredded cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, and the ever-present potato salad.
Using mainly beef tendons, it has been simmered for a long time until it becomes sweet and tender. It could be said to be the most labor-intensive dish on the menu at Karakara-ya. It pairs well with white rice and sake.
It is cold tofu with a dry, cool breeze.
Cucumbers served with a dry miso dip.
Cabbage served with a dry miso dip.
An all-purpose condiment that makes everything taste better. When you want to add a little flavor to your food.... It is delicious on salted grilled meat, mixed with white rice, or added to rice porridge. It is a must-have for leek lovers.
Stir-fried minced meat mixed with the miso from the spicy hot pot is served on a mountain of green onions and hot rice. It’s hard to mix, but it seems to get more delicious the more you mix it.
There is hardly anyone who comes to our place and doesn't eat this nabe. It's our signature dish that everyone orders! That is, 'Karakara Nabe and Grilled Meat'! ◆◆◆ Delicious Grilled Meat ◆◆◆ ● The King of Nabe, 'Harami' Best Seller This has been changing customers' perceptions of grilled meat! A unique flavor that is different from kalbi, directly packed with rich umami into your stomach☆ Perfectly seasoned with salt. Enjoy it as is. The sauce is also delicious!! ● Rare High-Quality Hormones In this era where so many hormone shops have increased, truly high-quality hormones do not flow through general distribution channels. The relationship with long-established meat processing companies with strong ties is the most important. The balance of skin and fat, the texture, the volume, and the captivating umami... it's exquisite. Occasionally, there are impressive flames (laughs) so be careful with your bangs! ● Extra Thick Ingredients + Artisan Skills 'K-1 Kalbi' Recommended Best Seller Thickly sliced premium kalbi, expertly cut on both sides... Rest assured, once you eat it, you'll be convinced of its texture and juiciness. Since its introduction, it has been a popular item that sells out daily☆ We do not attach the title 'K-1' to mediocre products. ● Our Specialty 'Karakara Nabe' ★★★★★ [Warning] Be especially careful when choosing the level of spiciness!! We accept orders for two servings or more. You can choose the spiciness level between [0 spicy] and [30 spicy]. Be cautious, as this part will determine how your day goes. Generally, we recommend around [3 spicy] for normal people.
Subzero beer. Light and refreshing taste.
The contents are unknown... It seems to pair exceptionally well with the karakara nabe.
