We serve large giant olives that have been pitted and stuffed with crispy bacon, anchovies, and marinated in garlic-infused peperoncino oil. Served with pickled jalapeños.
The Ardbeg distillery was founded in 1815. Ardbeg means 'small promontory' or 'small hill' in Gaelic, named after the location where the distillery was built. The water used for mashing is sourced from Loch Uigedail, which means 'dark and mysterious place' in the nearby area. This water has a dark color due to passing through peat layers, contributing to Ardbeg's distinctive flavor.
Founded in 1830. A spicy and smoky malt made on the Isle of Skye in northern Scotland. Characterized by a scent of the sea and a powerful taste. Talisker means 'sloping rock' in ancient Norse. It is inspired by the rugged seas of the Isle of Skye. The flavor is sweet yet very salty, with a striking spiciness of black pepper reminiscent of a storm.
Founded in 1866, Jack Daniel is a beloved Tennessee whiskey. It is often distinguished from bourbon, but as long as it is made according to the definition of bourbon whiskey, it can be considered bourbon regardless of where it is produced. However, if it is made in Tennessee and filtered with sugar maple charcoal immediately after distillation, using the charcoal mellowing method, it is allowed to be called Tennessee whiskey while still being bourbon. Its sweet taste is perfect on the rocks or mixed with soda.
Founded in 1984. Created to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the city of Frankfort, Kentucky. The name comes from the bourbon-making master 'Colonel Albert Blanton,' who worked at the Ancient Age distillery for about 55 years. They have maintained their meticulous production method for many years, resulting in a deep richness. The uniquely rounded bottle is also attractive, and there are fans who collect the derby figure bottle caps (a total of 8 types).
Founded in 1923 in Shimamoto Town, Mishima District, Osaka Prefecture. Located southwest of Kyoto, at the foot of Mount Tenno, Yamazaki. Shinjiro Torii was particular about 'high-quality water' and 'natural environment' in whiskey production, and chose this Yamazaki area from many candidate locations. The distillery is surrounded by a renowned area known for its famous water, which is even mentioned in ancient poems. The 'Water of the Detached Palace,' selected as one of Japan's top 100 famous waters, still springs forth abundantly, using pure and high-quality underground water that has been nurtured over many years as the brewing water. Additionally, surrounded by rich nature, the unique terrain where the Katsura River, Uji River, and Kizu River converge creates a humid environment that is optimal for whiskey maturation, where Yamazaki whiskey is produced.
Founded in 1969 in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. About 30 years after starting the first distillery in Yoichi, Hokkaido, Masataka Taketsuru began searching for a site to build a new distillery. Among the candidate locations, the site chosen by Masataka Taketsuru was Sendai, Miyagikyo. Located about 25 km west of the city of Sendai, this area, close to the border with Yamagata, is a lush valley blessed with two clear streams, the Hirose River and the Shinkawa. It is said that when Taketsuru first visited this area, he broke a Black Nikka he had with him in the clear waters of the Shinkawa and confirmed the taste. It is said that he decided to build the distillery on the spot.
Double Distilleries blends the original spirits from the Hanyu Distillery, founded in 1946 in Saitama Prefecture, and the Chichibu Distillery, founded in 2008 in Saitama Prefecture. At the Chichibu Distillery, a large number of Mizunara barrels are used for aging, and soft water from the Okegawa River Valley, which contains natural minerals, is used for the brewing water. Although in small quantities, locally sourced barley from Saitama Prefecture is used for the malt, and floor malting is actively carried out.
Founded in 1985 in Nagano Prefecture: Mars Shinshu Distillery. 'Kosumo' is a malt whiskey that expresses complexity and depth by vatting multiple malt whiskies of different types using Mars Whiskey's blending techniques. It has a rich, sweet aroma reminiscent of honey and caramel, with subtle smoky flavors and the scent of ripe fruits, characterized by a round, soft mouthfeel and a gentle finish.
The Akkeshi Distillery, located in Akkeshi County, Hokkaido, began production in 2016. It aims to create whiskey with a unique character reminiscent of Scotland's Islay Island, distinguishing itself from the smooth Japanese whiskeys. Kanro is the first whiskey in the 'Twenty-Four Solar Terms Series,' inspired by the four seasons of Japan, which is now available for sale in full bottles.
Founded in 1948, the year after India's independence. The alcohol evaporation rate is 2-3% in Scotland, 12% in Kentucky, USA, while in Amrut's location in India, Bangalore, it is a high rate of 10-16%. Amrut, produced under extremely unique conditions, matures faster than typical Scotch whisky, with a 3-year-old being said to have the maturity level of a 10-year-old. In Jim Murray's book, Whisky Bible 2010, it is highly rated as the third best single malt in the world.
