A hidden gem for authentic Austrian cuisine

EWIG is a hidden Austrian restaurant located in a quiet area about a 10-minute walk from Gaienmae. Chef Sugano, who trained in Austria, showcases his skills, allowing you to enjoy traditional Austrian flavors in Japan. In particular, the artistic "foie gras terrine in the style of Sachertorte" is a breathtaking masterpiece. The interior exudes a sophisticated atmosphere, making it perfect for a special occasion.

The menu and atmosphere were good, but it was difficult to find this restaurant on the second floor of a narrow back alley during a heavy downpour with thunder. It would have been helpful if they had made their presence a bit more noticeable. We did a wine pairing, but I felt that four glasses for that amount was too little.
