Mitani

Mitani is a sushi restaurant where reservations are difficult to make up to a year in advance, and it has a reputation for excellent wines that pair well with its creative cuisine. The restaurant, which claims that no two dishes are ever the same, offers dishes that are worthy of a special occasion meal, with flavors that will make even the most discerning of food connoisseurs swoon. Offering sushi dishes that inherit the soul of the producer, the restaurant is opening up new horizons for sushi cuisine that has evolved from its wabi-sabi origins.

Located a four-minute walk from Yotsuya Station, one step inside from the main street, this restaurant features a chic black exterior and a sign that reads "Yotsuya" (弎谷). Inside, the door opens to a further glass door, which opens to a space with seven seats at a calm, gentle L-shaped counter made of Japanese cypress.

Yotsuya Mitani opened in July 2006 and has evolved into a sushi restaurant with a marriage of sushi and wine. In 2016, the next stage opened in Kioicho to create a new legend.

He began training as a sushi chef at the age of 15, and after working as the manager of "Sushi Rosan, Isetan Shinjuku", he opened "Mitani" in Yotsuya in 2006. In 2004, he opened "Kioicho Mitani". In 2009, he opened "Kioicho Mitani Villa" on the same floor.
