Lunch surrounded by greenery @ Otemachi | Delicious food and happiness♪ A sudden decision to go to Tokyo. I called my friend the day before and she made time for me and even reserved a restaurant for me! Thank you for everything! We met up at Tokyo Station and headed to Aman Tokyo. Actually, Aman Tokyo was one of the hotels I had always wanted to visit! How did you know? And then, he made a reservation for lunch at The Cafe by Aman! The restaurant is surrounded by greenery, and the greenery is always visible from any of the windows! It's so relaxing to feel so close to it~! Inside the restaurant, counter seats are on the left. The kitchen is right in front of you, so you can enjoy the live atmosphere. There are table seats and terrace seats. The space between the seats is not large, but it is not uncomfortable. The table settings are also nice and elegant, though not fancy! For lunch, we ordered a course! You can choose your own appetizer, main dish and dessert from the menu! You can choose 2dish or 3dish, so of course! I chose 3dish for 3,900 yen! Summer vegetables and tomato stew with poached egg Since I chose meat as the main dish, I decided to have a salad as an appetizer! Beautiful arrangement! Vegetables stewed in tomatoes, the acidity of the vegetables refreshed me on this hot day! When I cracked open the poached egg, I found the yolk of the egg was dripping! It is mildly delicious and can be enjoyed in many variations of flavors! Focaccia Focaccia is a filling and soft dish that will fill you up! Duck breast roti with wild rice and red wine sauce The beautiful pink duck breast is healthy and has little fat. But the flavor is duck, so the rich red wine sauce transforms it into a very mature duck. Peach Melba The end of summer is the time for dessert! I chose peaches for the last time this season. It was a little different from what I expected... The sour berry sauce and the juicy peaches were a nice combination! The vanilla ice cream is also very milky. The crunchy granola has a nice light texture. We could have a leisurely lunch and the service was very comfortable with a good distance. My friend had a baby with her and he slept while she ate. I really appreciate your hospitality for such a sudden invitation! Next time, when I go back home, I will have to entertain her! Thank you very much for your hospitality! Afternoon tea on the non-black side ☕️🧁 It felt like the start of a great 3-day weekend 🤤. I tried to go upstairs for a quick drink on the way home, but the bar was so full that there wasn't even a seat to use it 😢. (?)
