After crossing to Oshima and entering a small path, I drove along a terrible road where cars couldn't pass each other and arrived at a small fishing port. At first, I thought, 'Did I take the wrong road?' but the navigation showed I had arrived. Looking around, I saw a single oyster processing plant and an oddly mismatched building next to it. There it was, the sign for Yamayo Shokudo. The oysters come from next door, so they must be fresh. As mentioned in other reviews, the freshness is different. Since there were two of us, we ordered courses A and B! There were so many oyster dishes that we couldn't fit them all on the table. With an ocean view and the occasional forklift passing by carrying oysters, I felt like I had wandered into a hidden space from another dimension until the very end. Most of the oyster menu is included in the course meals, so if there are two or more of you, I recommend ordering A and B. I will definitely visit again soon.

The interior was cozy and had the atmosphere of a sushi restaurant. I ordered unaju (grilled eel over rice) and gomokukamameshi (mixed rice). Each dish came with tea, pickles, seaweed salad, and chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), and I was very satisfied with both the taste and the quantity; it was extremely delicious. The staff were very friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience, and I hope to come back someday.
