[Tokyo Meguro] One of the four kings of tonkatsu in Meguro, and a sister store of the prestigious 'Daiho'. The tonkatsu features Chiba Prefecture's Hayashi SPF pork, and the small, clean interior makes it easy for a woman to dine alone. ◇ Hayashi SPF Premium Loin Katsu Set Meal Juicy yet not greasy, it is very delicious. The restaurant recommends pairing it with rock salt rather than sauce or soy sauce, and they are right; it’s a winner. Refills for rice and cabbage are free. The first refill of tonjiru (pork miso soup) is free, and the second refill costs 100 yen. This might be my favorite among the four kings of tonkatsu in Meguro.

Gokumi Roast Cutlet (230g) The cutlet is not deep-fried twice, but rather deep-fried in high oil and then preheated to heat through. It comes out quite rare, so there may be some differences in taste. For me, it is a bit of a minus. The cutlets are fatty, sweet and tasty. The pork cutlet itself is not as good as a high-end tonkatsu, but the side dishes such as rice, cabbage, and pork miso soup are carefully prepared, and the location is easy to get to, so I think I will go there often. The 230g portion was quite heavy on my stomach due to the large amount of fat, so I'd be happy with a 180g portion.
