Tonteki is served as a large piece, and it's fun to cut it yourself with scissors. The rich sauce seeps in well, and the meat remains tender even when cold. When you mix the sauce with cabbage, it pairs perfectly. The garlic and potatoes are fluffy, providing a sense of satisfaction. There are also set meals with fried chicken and chicken nanban, where the batter is crispy and the meat is juicy. Tonjiru (pork miso soup), Chikuzen-ni (a simmered dish), and self-serve pickles are also available, making the rice go down easily.
