Authentic Indian Curry Encountered in Shirahama

Krishna Cafe is an authentic Indian restaurant located on the second floor of Hotel Shirahama, slightly set back from the main street of Shirahama. In an atmosphere reminiscent of a Showa-era inn, the interior is adorned with Indian-style decorations, where you can enjoy carefully crafted curries and a variety of naan. In a calm space with soothing music, you can savor exquisite curries infused with the aroma of selected spices. This hidden gem is recommended for those who want to enjoy Indian flavors in Wakayama.

As you pass through the streets of Shirahama's city center and ascend to the second floor of the hotel, a dining room filled with an exotic atmosphere appears. The moment you open the door, you are greeted by a nostalgic hall reminiscent of a Showa-era inn, adorned with colorful Indian decor that excites you. In a calm space where healing music plays, there are about 30 seats, making it comfortable even for large groups. I chose a set that includes two types of curry prepared daily, along with freshly baked naan and rice, and I couldn't help but smile at the fragrant spices. The naan, which can be selected from several types such as garlic and plain, can also be adjusted in size, allowing you to enjoy it hot and fluffy until the end. The side menu is also rich with options like chicken tikka and samosas, leaving me satisfied and eager to try the curry pilaf next time.
