Just a short walk from Shijo Station, it is easily accessible along Karasuma Street. The cozy interior allows you to enjoy watching the cooking mainly from the counter seats. Each dish centered around fish reflects careful preparation, and the sashimi pairs perfectly with freshly grated wasabi. You can savor Kyoto vegetables in dishes like simmered vegetables and bagna càuda, and dipping bread into the sauce is irresistible. From dishes featuring sweetfish and young sweetfish to squid, vinegared dishes, yudofu, and tempura of chikuwa, the seasonal flavors and essence of Kyoto are well conveyed. When you order zosui or pickled rice soup to finish, the aroma of sansho pepper and refreshing taste provide a pleasant conclusion.
