"Tsugaru" is a small izakaya run by a couple from Aomori Prefecture, exuding warmth and comfort. In the counter-only interior, dishes utilizing seasonal ingredients are served, which can be enjoyed alongside drinks. The space is compact with a counter at its center, and it feels very comfortable. The interior is decorated with photos of Nebuta, allowing you to feel the atmosphere of Aomori. The warm hospitality from the two staff members adjusts the dishes and snacks according to your preferences and how hungry you are. The sashimi platter is particularly impressive, and the squid, which was prepared right in front of me, is fresh and delicious. Additionally, the braised pork, tempura, and the dish of fresh wasabi and tofu were all crafted with care and had a refined taste. There is also a wide variety of local sake from Aomori, and any choice pairs well with the food.
