Under owner Sunagawa, the whole family runs the place, and that family-operated system is the source of the restaurant’s warmth. The signature squid-ink yakisoba was invented by Mr. Hiroki’s father, and the idea of kneading the squid ink into the noodles so customers’ mouths don’t turn black is still carried on. You can even see the owner dressing up as "Mamoru-kun" to liven up live performances, and the owner’s sense of showmanship—creating not just the food but the very nights of Miyakojima—has become a major attraction that draws repeat visitors.
