Korakuen presents a dreamy little afternoon tea set with four kinds of sweets, tea, and sparkling wine with cherries. The main course is a homemade milk bavarois in the shape of an angel, served with a soupy sauce of two kinds of peaches, cherries and rose syrup. We hope you will enjoy this afternoon tea time in a "little paradise". You can choose your favorite dish at the same time as your table reservation. Other menu items can be ordered additionally when you visit the restaurant.
Mount Fuji, the highest peak in Japan at an elevation of 3776m. When the elegant indigo and light blue mountain surface crumbles, a cute sakura-colored ganache made with plenty of luxurious strawberries and mixed with pickled cherry blossoms appears from the summit. In the middle layer, there is a matcha cake filled with adzuki beans. Below that, we layered a ganache made with cherry blossom leaves that evokes the arrival of spring. At the base, a crunchy chocolate made with Shizuoka's matcha supports the mountain as a local specialty. This palm-sized Mount Fuji is perfect for gifts.
A summer-flavored ganache infused with fragrant passion fruit and a hint of sweet potato shochu made with yellow koji, a specialty of Kagoshima. The summer of Sakurajima spreads vibrantly in your mouth. Layered with a cake of red beans and matcha in the middle, the base is a crunchy matcha chocolate. The slight bitterness of matcha perfectly matches the acidity of passion fruit, creating a summer-flavored mountain confectionery.
The winter Rishiri Mountain covered in snow. A winter-flavored mountain confection with homemade raisins soaked in rum ganache, accented with salt from the Sea of Okhotsk. Layered in the middle is a cake of adzuki beans and cocoa. The base is a layer of milk chocolate crunch. A hint of Rishiri kelp powder is sprinkled in as a secret ingredient. Hidden among the snow-covered summit are walnuts, waiting for the arrival of spring.
Inspired by the beautiful autumn leaves of Yufudake. A blend of black tea ganache with ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and a hint of yuzu from Oita. It has a flavor reminiscent of a spiced Japanese-style chai. Crushed chestnuts are hidden near the summit. The middle layer features a cake made of adzuki beans and cocoa. The bottom layer is a crispy milk chocolate infused with crepe batter. Step on it like fallen leaves.
At the summit, there is a ganache made with Shizuoka matcha and pickled cherry blossoms. It is inspired by the spring tea ceremony at Oomuro Mountain. In the middle layer, there is a cake made with matcha and red beans, and at the base, there is a crunchy layer of matcha chocolate. The faint aroma of cherry leaves perfectly captures the essence of spring in Japan. This cute, plump shape of Oomuro Mountain is reminiscent of the end of winter when the mountain is burned. This represents the appearance of late spring when new buds cover the mountain.
Although it is Tokyo, it is made to evoke the summer of the Izu Islands and Hachijo Island, resembling a tropical resort. It features a refreshing white ganache made with the famous Hachijo lemon and a hint of coriander seeds. The slight bitterness of the matcha and red bean cake in the middle layer pairs well with the acidity of the lemon, creating a summer-flavored mountain confectionery. Near the summit, you can also encounter roasted pecan nuts.
These are bonbon chocolates that have been made even smaller to the size of a fingertip, inspired by Japan's beautiful mountains. You can choose from five mountains: Sakurajima Mitake (summer), Rishiri Mountain (winter), Yufu Mountain (autumn), Omuro Mountain (late spring), and Nishi Mountain on Hachijojima (summer). The chocolate shell, which cracks crisply when bitten, allows you to enjoy different textures based on the ridgelines of each mountain. Each mountain features a carefully selected local specialty, and the bonbon chocolates contain ganache that expresses the flavor and season inspired by that mountain.
