A short walk from Ebisu Station leads you to a traditional town Chinese restaurant that exudes an old-fashioned atmosphere. The interior is cozy and unpretentious, and it's nice to be able to relax at the table seats. The tanmen made with homemade noodles has a perfect balance of the sweetness of the vegetables and a light broth, making it very easy to slurp. The fragrant curry soba has a moderate thickness, and the aroma of the spices whets the appetite. The half fried rice we ordered as a side was packed with chunks of char siu, and its savory flavor was irresistible. Each dish reflects the dedication of a restaurant that has been in business since 1960, making for a heartwarming dining experience.
