Mr. Takamaru is from Hiroshima Prefecture. After graduating from high school he moved to Tokyo and gained experience in the restaurant industry at Raku Corporation and Foods Supply Service Corporation. In 2014 he opened Banshakuya Ojinjo in Ebisu, offering dishes that make use of local Hiroshima ingredients. He currently energetically operates three establishments, including Takamaru Denki and Yutenji Bob, and remains active in the foodservice industry.
