Reasonable Japanese Lunch It was a beautiful sunny day on a holiday in February! And the temperature was not too low, so it felt great! On this day, we were accompanied by a friend who knows Kyoto very well. He made a reservation for us at 1:00 p.m., so we all met there. The place is about a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Kawaramachi station. It's in an alley, so I had to go around at first, but after looking at the map, I got there! In front of the store, there are many buds on the branches of plum trees. The restaurant is a small place with a counter in the front and two tables for four people in the back. There are two sessions, from 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Reservations are required! On this day, there was a customer who came in, but unfortunately the restaurant was full. Lunch course is Dim sum course (1,900 yen) Lunch Kaiseki (3,500 yen) I'm going to eat sweets afterwards, so I'll have the dim sum course. Everyone toasted with drinks at noon! First came the appetizers like appetizers! Boiled wasabi greens Dashi-maki (Japanese soup stock roll) Pickled moroko Deep-fried yuba lotus root Sugar flavored fava beans grilled pickled salmon with sprout sauce Chicken in pineapple sauce All of them are simply seasoned to make the most of the ingredients. The dashimaki is also served with Kyoto-style dashi broth. It is light in flavor, but you can feel the dashi broth. After a while, the rice with shirasu (baby sardines) arrived! Yukari is sprinkled on top. The rest is miso soup and pickles. The appetizer is a good side dish, and the rice goes down a treat! Is it possible to refill the rice once? The men were having another helping! Spanish mackerel steamed with sake with green laver sauce The aroma of green laver is very nice! Spanish mackerel is steamed with sake, so it is fluffy and very delicious! It is covered with starchy sauce, so it stays warm forever! Steamed mugwort cake! I thought desserts at such a place would be watery, but it was unexpectedly a cake! And it's filled with cream! The chewy texture and the subtle aroma of mugwort go well with the not-too-sweet cream! The price was light at 1,900 yen, but all the dishes were well-prepared and very satisfying! With such a filling menu, I can't wait to try the mini kaiseki! I love ♬♬ for a quick and easy Japanese lunch in Kyoto Thanks to the organizer who found a nice restaurant! Thanks for the food!
