The atmosphere was nice, and since they set us at a table for four for just the two of us, we were able to relax. The soba was of course delicious, and each piece of tempura was large, with the shrimp being huge and plump, which surprised me! The staff had a professional feel to their service, and we were able to enjoy our time comfortably.

Although parking is limited, there is plenty of seating inside. If you are in a small group, I recommend sitting at the counter. The staff provide excellent service. I ordered the *hegi soba* and maitake mushroom tempura; the portions were generous, and I was very satisfied. The prices are reasonable. The handmade soba was superb, allowing the true flavor of the buckwheat to shine through.

I was able to eat the giant maitake tempura that I was aiming for. The hegi soba was also good. It was very delicious. The employees seemed to have a division of roles, which was efficient, and each person was aware of their responsibilities, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

Yuzawa Shinbashi Hegisoba 2 servings, 2,000 yen The restaurant was quite crowded even though it was well past noon. Quite tasty! You should go there when you visit Yuzawa.
