The interior of the well-maintained old building has a calm atmosphere and is comfortable. It has a counter, tables, and tatami rooms, all of a suitable size for a pleasant stay. The staff are friendly, allowing you to relax in a warm ambiance. You can enjoy a variety of dishes, from classics like heshiko and deep-fried eggplant to more unique items like fried whiting. The sashimi of young yellowtail is refreshing and flavorful, making it hard to put down your chopsticks with every dish being delicious. There is also a good selection of sake, and I was able to leisurely enjoy it along with Sapporo draft beer.

‘Heshiko’ is a traditional dish from the Wakasa region and Tango Peninsula, where mackerel is salted and then further fermented in rice bran. We lightly remove the rice bran and grill it over fire before serving. The salty flavor pairs perfectly with alcohol! This is a must-try delicious appetizer. A rare find in Yamanashi Prefecture! Enjoy it as ochazuke, original pasta, and more.
