A famous hand-made soba restaurant located a 3-minute walk from Koshinzuka Station on the Arakawa Line, in the Sugamo Jizo-dori shopping street. While it has the skill to be selected as a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide Tokyo, its charm lies in the relaxed atmosphere where you can slowly enjoy soba and sake. The lunch course (4,000 yen) is structured to enjoy a series of dishes from appetizers before soba to the final soba. It includes a platter of the specialty smoked mackerel, cream cheese marinated in soy sauce, and kelp tsukudani, crispy tempura with a light batter, Aizu horse sashimi, and fluffy soba dumplings paired with sake, finishing with two types of soba from different regions. Reservations are recommended as course dining requires arrival by 11:30. The soba is served in a 'tasting soba' style, changing the region, grinding method, and aging every day, offering a different soba experience each time you visit.
