This is a calm counter located deep in an alley, where you can enjoy the aroma of charcoal. The grilled chicken is perfectly cooked, and I was particularly impressed by the juiciness of the heart. The oden is slowly simmered in a large pot, and the gentle umami of the broth permeates through. There is a rich variety of side dishes, including kelp-marinated chicken breast and thigh tataki, which pairs wonderfully with drinks. The warm hospitality of the couple made me feel comfortable, and I felt a sense of warmth during our conversations over the counter. By the time I stepped outside feeling a bit tipsy, I found myself wanting to return naturally.
