Mishima [Eel, Suminobo Honmachi Branch
The last eel in the Heisei era! I decided to drive to Mishima. However, even though it was before 5:00 p.m., there was already a line of nearly 30 people waiting to get in to S-Ya.
However, there was only one group in line at "Suminobo" a little further away, so we decided to go there. However, there were already two groups in line inside the restaurant, so we ended up waiting for about 30 minutes and were finally allowed to sit down around 5:30 pm.
But from there, it was very fast. The bowl of eel arrived in less than 5 minutes after we ordered.
The eel was steamed Kanto style. The eel is so fluffy that it falls apart as soon as you put your chopsticks in it. The taste is not too strong, but not too strong, and I like it.
Personally, I prefer the Kansai style, where the eel is grilled thoroughly, but I like it here!
The liver in the liver soup is also surprisingly tasteless and very tasty.
However, it was enough to enjoy the charm of Mishima eel. We couldn't drink because we were in a car, so we had to settle for an eel cola.
The last delicious eel bowl in the Heisei era
Thank you for the food 😋.
