It was delicious. I enjoyed it because the chef's storytelling was fun!

The last time I visited, I had a one-plate lunch, but this time I enjoyed a lunch course. The overall balance of the course was good, and since it was December, there were Christmas-like decorations throughout, making for a delicious lunch experience. The petit four on the dessert spoon was not only cute but also surprisingly delicious with the first bite of fresh cream! I would love to try this lunch course again in a different season.

It's very convenient, just a short walk from the station. The bone-in chicken thigh is fragrant, and the staff cuts it for you, making it easy to eat. When you dip it in the meat juices and eat it with salt rice balls, it brings happiness. The sashimi, small plates, and skewers each have a strong flavor that makes you crave alcohol. The yellowtail with sesame and the yellowtail radish that has absorbed the flavors left a lasting impression. I was satisfied even with the finishing oil soba, and I could feel the atmosphere of being loved by regulars in the shop with bottles lined up.

【Tokyo Umegaoka】 This yakitori restaurant has been a topic of conversation as one of the top 100 yakitori places and was also featured in the New Year’s broadcast "Terakado Jimon’s Interview-Refusing Restaurants 2025 New Year". I was invited to a precious seat for my first visit. Omakase Course ◇ Kappa Soup ◇ Chicken Breast Amagi Shamo The outside is crispy, while the inside has a rare texture. It pairs well with wasabi and kabosu. ◇ Negima Shishito A type I’ve never had before, with chicken breast wrapped in green onion. The texture is great. ◇ Gizzards ◇ Oni Oroshi Egg Yolk ◇ Liver Pâté Completely free of any unpleasant smell, yet rich in flavor. Delicious. ◇ Inner Thigh ◇ Extra: Chicken Breast with Kombu I ordered this as an extra since it was recommended at the beginning of the course. ◇ Chōchin A large tsukune with two cute-sized egg yolks. Juicy and delicious. ◇ Harami ◇ Furisode ◇ Liver The best liver I’ve ever had, with no aftertaste and very tasty. ◇ Pickles: Turnip and Cucumber ◇ Caramel ◇ Extra: Chicken Soba The portion was more voluminous than I expected, so I needed to save some room in my stomach. Mainly featuring Shiga's Omi Jidori and Shizuoka's Amagi Shamo, the exquisite cooking technique is characteristic. It is loved by locals, and it seems that there are many repeat visitors who find it worth the trip even from afar. Thank you for the meal.

The jazz playing in the store creates a comfortable atmosphere, making it a relaxing space. The appetizers are delicate, and you can be satisfied with everything from pumpkin sesame tofu to grilled fish and pickled egg yolk. The sashimi, including kombu-marinated sea bream and mackerel, is just right, and the carefully prepared whale meat is easy to eat. Each piece of sushi is small and easy to handle, and I feel that the vinegared rice is getting better and better. From Boston tuna to fresh salmon roe, sardines, negitoro dip, and finally the negitoro roll, it is filled with seasonal delights. Located in Higashimatsubara, it is a wonderful place where you can leisurely enjoy it with sake.
