Arroz y Circo Takadanobaba

Meat from animals that roam the mountains is low in fat and rich in nutrients such as protein, truly a 'delicacy of the forest.' Deer have one-third the calories of beef and three times the iron! Wild boar is rich in vitamin B and iron compared to pork and also contains collagen. The game meat we procure is processed by a licensed meat processing business in accordance with the national 'Guidelines for the Sanitary Management of Wild Game Meat.' By cooking it thoroughly, there is no risk of food poisoning, and it can be enjoyed safely. The damage to Japanese agricultural products caused by wild animals amounts to 15.5 billion yen (2021), and unfortunately, many deer and wild boar are culled and discarded due to insufficient distribution. At Rice and Circus, we strive daily to express gratitude for life and to serve delicious meals. ..........................【Important Notice Regarding Insect Eating】Insect consumption may include the possibility of shellfish allergies. Therefore, there is a risk of anaphylaxis. We kindly ask those with a history of shellfish or seafood allergies to refrain from consuming insects. *Not everyone other than those with shellfish/seafood allergies will necessarily have an allergic reaction. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask our staff.

Five years in the making! Finally completed. The 'Isopod and Barley Beer' was born from a collaboration with the Okayama Prefecture brewery 'Kibi Dote Shita Beer Brewery'. To highlight the delicious characteristics of the isopod, which has a flavor reminiscent of shrimp and crab, we added plenty of roasted and crushed isopod to the barley wort and fermented and aged it. Since isopod does not qualify as a 'secondary ingredient' under Japanese liquor tax law, it is classified as 'happoshu' (a type of low-malt beer), but it is carefully brewed using the same method as beer, with 50% malt and hops added. When poured from the bottle, it has a beautiful bright copper color, with a slight bitterness and richness from the malt, and a gentle aroma of isopod in the aftertaste. It is recommended to drink it slightly warmed to room temperature rather than ice cold, as the aroma becomes more pronounced and delicious. This is a drink that you should definitely enjoy with crispy fried 'Isopod Tempura'.
