Tempura restaurant across from Biclo, Shinjuku. There are seats at the counter on the first floor and seats on the second floor, and we were shown to the counter seats on the first floor. I ordered the Hana set meal. It consists of tempura of shrimp, yellowtail, squid, green bell pepper, pumpkin, and kakiage, rice, and miso soup. All of the tempura were delicious, with a subtle aroma of sesame oil, but I especially liked the squid, kabocha, and the restaurant's specialty, kakiage (deep fried fish cake). I especially liked the squid, kabocha, and the restaurant's specialty kakiage. The tempura was also delicious with tsuyu (soy sauce), but because of its aroma, it was just as good with salt. The squid was plump and I have never had squid tempura that was so juicy. The kabocha pumpkin was very sweet and tasty. The kakiage (deep-fried shrimp) was a perfect combination of the plump texture of the shrimp and the crispy batter of the kakiage. We also ordered additional shiitake mushrooms stuffed with shrimp and squid natto. The shiitake mushroom stuffed with shrimp was filled with shrimp, which combined with the delicious taste of shiitake mushrooms was delicious. I ordered the tempura with squid and natto? I ordered the tempura with squid and natto, but the squid and natto were covered with nori and deep fried. The semi-rare squid and natto were fresh and delicious. I only had this one with soy sauce.
