A cozy café with homemade bread

Kanazawa Komachi is a café located in a tranquil area of Higashiyama, housed in a renovated traditional home. The antique interior creates a comfortable atmosphere, warmly welcoming visitors. The homemade bread and cakes are crafted with care, preserving the flavors of the ingredients. In particular, the bread made with natural yeast offers a delightful contrast of a crispy exterior and a chewy interior, captivating everyone who visits.

The renovated house has a cozy atmosphere. The interior features colorful walls and antique-style furniture, resembling a small gallery. The focus is on baked goods and bread, and the fruit brandy cake has a rich flavor. The round bread is crispy on the outside and fluffy and chewy on the inside, which I really liked. The tarts and Engadine cookies are also delicious and satisfying. The cute cups by the window are nicely arranged, and the friendly service adds to the pleasant experience.
