Nara Ristorante Mikado

The restaurant serves mainly pintxos (Spanish-style snacks), creatively incorporating Nara's local ingredients. At lunchtime, the restaurant also offers warm somen noodles made with Nara tachibana, which is light but has a proper culinary axis.

The building retains its Japanese design with plank doors and latticework, and features a standing-drinking style configuration with counter and raised table seating. The small size of the space allows for an intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy the food while sipping sake.

Nara Ryori mikado opened on August 8, 2022. Located at the entrance of Nara-machi, Ima-gomon-cho, the restaurant is a base for communicating Nara's history and culinary culture through its cuisine under the concept of "Gently savor 1,300 years of history. We have begun to serve as a base for conveying Nara's history and culinary culture through our cuisine.

The owner, Mr. Harada, proposes free pintxos as "Nara Cuisine" that gives shape to the customers' voices. The name of the restaurant is derived from the name of the town "Ima-gomon-cho," and he aims to establish roots in the local community. In the future, he hopes to support the younger generation, and as expressed in his motto, "with an open mind and an honest heart," he continues to make his way forward.
