The famous bowl that even Sen no Rikyu said, 'Even if you combine all the tea bowls in the world, they would not match up to this one bowl.' - Dodo-ya Chawan.
A handmade rice cake where you can enjoy as much sweet bean paste as you like sandwiched between a skin that replicates the 'Takehan' (current seal) used by Rikyu.
This is a pair of sweets that reproduce the 'Nayaberi' and 'Takebashi' seals used by Rikyu. Made with Sanuki-produced Wasanbon sugar as the main ingredient, each piece is carefully cut out using the traditional wooden molds passed down through generations. *Offered in the tea room (Shinan) at the Sakai City Museum. ~10 pieces for 450 yen / 20 pieces for 900 yen / 30 pieces for 1600 yen
