Located near the Shinkansen entrance of Toyohashi Station, this standing bar is tucked away in a small shack behind the station. Despite its modest setting, it offers authentic dishes and a carefully selected range of drinks. Each visit provides a taste that goes beyond the typical standing bar experience. It's a standing bar, but there are folding chairs available, so you can relax. The snacks are neatly arranged in a case, making it fun to choose. I particularly like the skewered cutlets, potato salad, and quail egg fries, and the sauce has a unique flavor that is addictive. The rolled omelet and grilled salt mackerel are also prepared with care, making it easy to enjoy drinks. The shochu can be mixed with green tea or oolong, and it pairs perfectly with Hoppy. The staff is knowledgeable about alcohol, so it's reassuring to ask for recommendations.
