When you go down to the basement, you are welcomed by a wooden counter and a small table in a calm atmosphere. I heard that the chef travels to Amakusa to catch fish himself, which heightened my expectations. The sashimi, such as swordfish and rockfish, which I don't usually eat, had a firm texture and a rich ocean aroma. The side dish of homegrown vegetables was also crisp and enhanced the flavor of the fish. The grilled mackerel was served in no time, and its fragrant skin and fluffy flesh made the rice go down easily. I felt that this is a place where you can casually enjoy the daily recommendations, and the more you visit, the more appealing it becomes.
