Tōhakuan Karibe

Masakazu Karibe trained at the renowned restaurant 'Okina' and built the foundation of his skills as a soba craftsman. He then gained further experience at 'Daruma', honing his soba-making techniques. After becoming independent, he opened 'Tōhakuan Karibe' and established his own soba philosophy. Karibe states, 'Soba is deep precisely because it is simple,' emphasizing the importance of maximizing the quality of the ingredients. While respecting tradition, he continually hones his skills and embraces new challenges. He aims to create soba that delivers an emotional experience to those who eat it, dedicating himself to daily improvement.
