The calm Italian restaurant at the top of the stairs has a lovely ambiance with white and brown interiors, and the lighting resembles lamps. It has a quietly relaxing atmosphere, and the staff's service is soft and pleasant. The dishes make abundant use of seasonal ingredients, especially vegetables, allowing for enjoyment of both color and aroma. The salad, reminiscent of a flower garden, the homemade bread infused with bamboo charcoal, and the red wine granita left a particularly strong impression. There are several options for pasta, and both the zucchini and white fish Genovese and the surf clam with Kurosaki edamame Bianco were delicious. The wine pairing was also enjoyable, allowing for a comfortable and leisurely experience.

This is an Italian restaurant selected as a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide Niigata 2020. It is located at the south exit of Niigata Station. For lunch, you can choose from three different pasta dishes that change daily, and the cream pasta with prosciutto infused with mint left a strong impression on me. There are also menu items that incorporate Japanese ingredients, such as mackerel sushi, oyster mushrooms, and pasta with dried squid and mullet roe. The dishes that utilize Niigata's ingredients are visually appealing, and the gnocchi is chewy, making you want to eat more. Since there aren't many seats, it can get crowded, so it's reassuring to make a reservation.
