You can see the grill at the entrance, and the aroma already whets your appetite. The grilled eel over rice is carefully cooked over binchotan charcoal, resulting in tender flesh and crispy skin. The sauce clings perfectly, making you want to eat more rice. You have to wait a bit after ordering as they prepare it for you, but that just enhances the freshness. Inside the restaurant, you can relax on thick cushions, and it's also enjoyable to watch the eels swimming in the central aquarium. The white grilled eel is fluffy from the steamer, and you can enjoy variations in flavor with wasabi, ginger, yuzu pepper, garlic, and myoga.
